We stayed at the military campground, but toured Bayou Segnette and would consider staying there next time ... the campground in the city, with its tall walls and locked gate seemed a little too prison-like to us.Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08333995679958103393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1258253640413095518.post-34716444921195484712014-04-25T06:31:30.535-07:002014-04-25T06:31:30.535-07:00We enjoyed our NOLA visit too and stayed away from...We enjoyed our NOLA visit too and stayed away from the crowds as well. Our arrival there from the West was hairy enough for us to take the ferry to the city. Just for fun check if the laundry facilities in the park are still free. <br />If you enjoy plantation homes, the Oak Alley Plantation is worth checking out as well the Barataria Preserve.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1258253640413095518.post-27250421200240751042014-04-24T06:12:44.227-07:002014-04-24T06:12:44.227-07:00Sounds like we would enjoy the Marigny over Bourbo...Sounds like we would enjoy the Marigny over Bourbon St too. Believe it or not, it is a Passport America park and we got the first night at half price. It was pricey for the second and third night but it was so close to the downtown, we decided it was worth it. Plus it had a great hot tub and I'm very partial to hot tubs! ;c)Paul and Marti Dahlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17332654035718777839noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1258253640413095518.post-91904149402222998672014-04-23T07:53:36.633-07:002014-04-23T07:53:36.633-07:00Quite a contrast between the ninth ward and the Qu...Quite a contrast between the ninth ward and the Quarter. I don't think it's in the plan. We usually shy away from large crowds! I do love the pictures and the excitement they show and my mouth was watering for some of those charbroiled oysters!
